Where to sell or consign a very nice bridle

I have a gorgeous Hadfields fancy stiched hunter bridle (with reins) that I have used probaly only 5-6 times. It cost at least $900 (I had a heart attack when I realized the reins were almost $500 themselves). I don’t need a bridle of this caliber anymore and I have other bridles I can use if I decide to show the horse it was bought for again. Does anyone have ideas where I could sell it or consign it (Ebay? or are there pages on FB?). Also, how much do you think I could ask for it? It’s in perfect condition but is not brand new. I haven’t the slightest idea and I’ve been spending too much time thinking about it, I think. Any suggestions would be most appreciated!

Facebook has lots of great sales pages for English Tack. Just do a search and I would recommend posting it in a few of the groups with the higher membership numbers. Look at what other high end bridles in similar condition are being sold for and price your bridle accordingly.

Thank you so much! That is very helpful. I will take a look!

Dfwtackexchange.com and redwoodtack.com are also both great sites that I’ve purchased from that specialize in consigning high-end tack if you do not want to hassle with selling it yourself. Both sites do a great job of taking professional pics to show items off to their very best

As HJdaydream said, I think your best bet is listing it through a site that sells high end saddles and tack.

Premier Tack Outlet does the best job photographing high-end, barely used bridles like yours. I have no idea what the business end of that site will be, as a buyer or a seller. But that’s the first place I’d look online to find a very special $900 bridle.

Try the High End English Tack and English Tack Trader groups on Facebook. You have to discount it enough that your buyer is incentivized to buy used instead of new, my rule of thumb is in the range of 25-30% on something that lightly used. If it is too close to the new price, someone might opt to just buy new instead.

I cannot thank you enough. This as been renting so much space in my head and…I really appreciate it.
