I bought a lovely mare in March and six days later found out she was pregnant. Since then I have been playing catch up trying to find out all the right things to do for them, which has been hard as most programs were already filled. The baby was born at the vet’s house, which was great, but I think they are now ready to be out with other mares and babies (he is just over two months old). I am hoping you might have suggestions of where I could send them that would provide top care. I am located in the PNX (which would be preferable), but would send them anywhere on the West Coast if it were the right place. I have tried Polyrich, but they are full, and Wild Turkey is no longer doing babies. Any other places I should look? This is all new to me. Thank you!
Shoot, Wild Turkey was going to be my suggestion.

Try Kellen Brady at KB Sporthorses.

If you are near enough to Wild Turkey… have you called Oakhurst? Not sure they would do what it is you are looking for but might be worth a phone call, they might have names for you. I’d ask to speak with Ben.

Thank you for the great suggestions!
I echo Oakhurst, that’s where I had my mare foal out and they have lots of babies and green pasture.
