I didn’t read it as snark. I agree with your assessment on Where’s The Ring. Loved him in the still photos - absolutely lovely type - but the video gave me some pause. He is only 22. I want my horses to still be riding sound at that age. I would need to know that is not what it looks like.

No info on either, OP. Very curious to see what HH is making. I liked their other stallion, Pericles, too. Pericles has some tangential proof of UL potential - Silver Deputy has had several 2*+ finishers and DM has totally secured his place in sport horse breeding in my opinion. He has several get and grandget at ULs.

I didn’t read snark either, and also agreed that the video is…odd. It is not a video I would be using on a sales page, but since it’s there, I would be very interested in understanding what’s going on and why.

I know a pair of Where’s The Ring granddaughters (full sibs). To be honest, they wouldn’t be my personal choice for a riding/sport horse based on temperament or soundness. But, I’d also be leery of any horse by their direct sire for that same reason, so I have no idea how much role WTR may have played in there.

WTR - looks very uphill in the picture but pretty downhill in the video plus he looks to have very soft pasterns in the video. I would say he looks to be very well cared for but age has not been kind to him. 22 is not that old but perhaps he campaigned hard in his early years.
