Where's the Search function/option?

I feel kinda dumb, but I can not for the life of me find the search function/option! Can someone please point me in the right direction?

Right hand on top of the ad column there.

Below the facebook and twitter etc. symbols

Right below where it asks “Join” is the “search” tab.
