Which vet at Piedmont would you pick?

I need to switch to a new general vet. I have used Piedmont Equine Practice before at different times for emergencies as they are close to me. There are several vets there. Just looking for recommendations on which one would be good for general care and the sometimes ridiculous complex issues my horses sometimes come up with.

Who would you pick and why? I am open to other vets in the area but Piedmont is close.

I’ve used Dr Bowman for close to 20 years. Almost everyone else at one time or another. Can’t go wrong with any of them

If you have a competition sporthorse, and want someone who has an eye towards top sport performance, you might consider Dr. Davis. He’s been terrific as I’ve brought a few different horses up the levels, at different ages, and has always suggested a menu of care options for keeping my horses at the top of their game.

That said, I’ve been with Piedmont for 10+ years, and have at this point, used everyone at the practice at one time or another. They’re all great, very good vets for your routine care and various emergencies. Before Dr. Davis became my “regular” go-to vet, I used Dr. Theiss a lot, and she’s terrific.

Thanks. I have been dealing with a difficult muscle or metabolic issue with one horse that my current vet has not ben able to figure out so I need a fresh perspective from a knowledgeable vet. I was thinking of Dr Davis but also wondered about Paul Anikis as well but I am really open to whomever might be able to help. Maybe even Dr. Nolan. I just don’t know where to start again.
