Yup this is our girl. She loves swimming, she can navigate around but it really exhausts her little body and puts her in pain.
And thank you. We are so lucky to have her, she is just the cutest. And I LOVE how curious she is – she is always exploring!
It seems to me the condition is called cold water tail because bird dogs get it.

Good point but when talking older, possibly arthritic dog, I assume swimming along the lines of Canine Hydrotherapy 
Not every owner might be informed, but I do rather expect my small animal vet to have an awareness of the process :yes:
Ask your vet about trying a month long loading dose of Adequan. The vet can show you how to do the injections. They are very easy. It worked wonders on my dog that was arthritic.
