Whiskey the Ranch Horse Explains Hunting

Lisa W-B’s retired ranch horse, Whiskey, sometimes joins The Short Bus in the hunt field. He has finally taken the time to share his wisdom with us:

Hilarious!

Very cute! I do agree with Whiskey that rounding up cattle and hearding them to pens or sorting them is a heck of a lot like trying to get and move hounds.

True!

The first time I went to Wyoming on a cattle drive, the ranch owner was amazed that this fluffy chick from back East could work cattle…he said are you SURE you’ve never done this before?

I explained that it’s just like whipping in, only with bigger doggies!

When I was attempting to do team penning, I SO wished that I had my hunt whip!

Whiskey, you gotta talk to us more often!

I loved this blog series! Let’s see the rest of them on CotH. I have rounded up cattle with a hot fit steeplechase horse. The cattle just look at him and left… rapidly!

Very cute. I sometimes wonder exactly what the horses think of things people do.

Aww, thanks, Whicker. (And thanks, others, and RAR!) Whiskey has been having fun writing his blog so far.

Come on, Whiskey!

I wanna campfire story!! PLEASE…

That is too funny!!!
