Ok I’m guilty of loving the look, and I know my mare would look amazing in one. The issue is finding one that would fit pad to pad on both sides of the girth for a 50" girth wearing horse. Anyone have any leads on where to find one that would be at least somewhat long enough? Do people use “girth socks” more, or fleece covers? Curious to know what people are buying. Located in Canada so ideally something that ships here. Thanks!
Bahr Saddlery carries the acrylic girth socks in white, and the large would definitely fit your 50" girth (my horse wears a 52" girth). They are very stretchy so if your girth is shaped/anatomic, it will work too.

Bahr Saddlery is in Milton, Ontario and will ship if you’re not close.
Thanks so much! Do these ones stretch length wise as well? I have one that is 36” but a more rigid fleece that isn’t long enough and those say the large is 35”. I felt like I had seen horses with the “sock” look, but didn’t know how these look when on if it looks too “sock” like and less fleece. Thank you!!
Yes they do! They are a knit acrylic which stretches in all directions. I’ve even used the shorter ones on my anatomic, wide dressage girth and they were able to stretch enough to get over the uneven shape without having to buy a very expensive cover that was specially made for it.
They’re also easy to wash and the price is low enough that you could get 2 to rotate, or save one for shows.
