Hi All, Does anyone know of a large white board already designed as a feed/supplement chart for a barn I can purchase? I’d like all the horses (15) on one chart. I am not artistic in any way… Thank you!
Your local sign store could easily create something for you. Here are some examples:

Or, just make your own. A yard stick and a fat permanent marker for the lines. Not much artistry required Mine is set up with horse name, am grain, am extras, pm grain, pm extras… pretty straight forward!
Thank you! And thank you for the ideas. You’d think I could figure it outðŸ¤ðŸ¤·ðŸ¼!
If you decide to DIY, do you need anything more than a grid? If you want it to be re-configurable, perhaps use narrow black tape for the lines.

Fwiw, I started with narrow black tape for the lines, and it pulled off and curled at the ends over time. And then left residue when I pulled it all off :-/
Maybe there’s better tape out there? But it was more frustration than it was worth for me!
Simkie, thanks for the tip.
. Who knew they made tape just for this? I really must get out more.😉
3M makes “white board” tape. I made myself a feed chart using strips of the white board tape to write on and gaps between for “lines.”
In my case, I applied the tape to plexiglass and actually you can write/erase on that too, so I use both areas for content. It’s easy to tell which line you’re on since every other one is a different “color.”
I got the tape at an Ace hardware store.
I use automotive pinstriping tape.
comes in loads if widths, loads of colors.
i have a huge weekly lesson board, and a 20 horse feed board.
works perfect.
I used to make white boards for various barn purposes. One thing to consider is getting a magnetic white board. It’s more expensive but having the option of using magnets for various things can be a huge time saver. It will also preserve the life of those delicate taped lines due to fewer erasings.
Gosh, everyone! What great ideas and advice!! Maybe my unartistic self can pull this off after all.
As a teacher, I use washi tape on my white boards at the barn and home!!
Along these same lines, I use post its for adding temporary changes–like when a horse is on antibiotics or something. Easier to pull the sticky off and pitch when done, and the bright color calls out the new thing better than just writing on the board.
THAT is a super idea!!!
Start with a blank piece of printer paper and use that as your “design wall.” Just take you think will work, put it up for a week or so and see if it does the job. If not, try again. Plan on multiple iterations before you hit one that works. Also, it’s OK to take an intermediate step and go from 8 1/2 x 11 to a large piece of poster board and then to a more or less final design.
Or, to quote a line from an old song, “Life’s dance, you learn as you go!”

That is also a very good idea. Thank you.
You’re welcome!
