I thought maybe Lauren Nicholson bc she was at Cornbury this weekend but don’t see her on Blenheim lists. (ETA: I did just see she is listed as an alternate for Boekelo )
Jenny Caras & Sommersby were 3rd in the 3S this weekend at Cornbury
Dana is the only Canadian.
If you go to Eventing Scores UK you will discover a very useful tool, including live scores on the day. The participants for Blenheim are listed already.
Jenny Caras moving up the rankings with only 2.4 time penalties today.
Phillip & Katherine clear with time.
The others had some 11s & 20s.
The weather looks wet on my app but I’m not watching the livestream so not sure what it’s like real time.
Rowan Laird is a 22 year old young man that rides under the US flag but seems UK based.
I was totally confused for a minute because I was thinking of the Blenheim in California. And I did not remember seeing a cross country course when I was there. Lol.
Jenny Caras currently highest placed American 9th.
Philip Dutton USA 19th
Katherine Coleman USA 35th
Dana Cooke CAN 44th
Jan Byyny USA 57th
64 finished, 7 eliminated, 4 retired on course, 84 were numbered, 4 withdrawn before xc - so someone is missing!
As usual at Blenheim, it was a tough cross country. A rider who caught my eye was Jerome Robine who is German, despite his name, and currently 2nd
Louise Harwood in hospital after fall.
I’ve heard that she has multiple fractures of her leg
4* Short Sunday USA results (88 runners)
Cosby Green 34th
Tiana Coudray 43rd
Hallie Coon 53rd
Katherine Coleman 82nd
As if falling off the muck cart and breaking bones wasn’t enough… Hope she heals up soon.
Wow. That is some no good very bad luck.
Rowan grew up in Scotland and competed all through the junior and young rider programmes as part of Team Scotland. Then worked for WFP for a time.
Has anyone seen an update on Louise Harwood? I’m not on Facebook or other social media so maybe there is something there? I’ve seen nothing since Sunday.
Crunched…
it’s visible even without being a facebook member
Thank you. Crunched indeed!
It’s not surprising that the doctors are perplexed as to what are old, and what are new injuries. Bless her heart.
Yowza. That’s a lot.
Props to her for giving a thumbs up with the arm that was in the sling.
