Who can make me these dressage breeches?

I truly dislike almost all styles of white and black breeches except for this very old pair of werth breeches which don’t cut off at your inner thigh and look so much better. Other than buying two breeches and getting a seamstress to put it together for me, is there anyone who knows some reps for breeches who could bring back this style?? I get so many compliments every show. I don’t know how no one has done this style!!

Dunno, but I’m STILL sad that Equissentials closed their business. I absolutely LOVE their deerskin breeches! Fortunately, I have several pairs that I bought shortly before they stopped making them and haven’t been wearing them yet, so still have some in new condition. I also bought a few pairs on Poshmark that I don’t mind wearing around the barn even they’ll get messy when bathing the horse.

But if anyone makes breeches in a similar design with deerskin patches, I’d love to know. Maybe a regular tailor could make some by following the style of a pair of old Equissentials? Anyone know if that is likely/unlikely?

I too love the deerskin breeches.

I have two pairs of worn out equissentials that could be sewn onto new breeches but I haven’t found anyone who does that.

I also have 2 or 3 pairs of almost new full seat equissentials that I should sell

Deerskin breeches are amazing. My last pair died and not sure who makes them anymore.

I was a tropical riders breech fan.

There are a couple of this style of breeches in different colors available (used) on Aiken Tack Exchange. They are listed as 34 R, so they may not be your size.

Good eye!

Not identical but:

If OP passes I might just buy the maroon ones - does anyone know how they run? I’m usually a 30.

I’m curious to know what they look like on?

Yes, it’s possible but it’s going to cost you.

I recently recreated a pattern for a non-tailored suit jacket from an original jacket. It took close to 5 hours and required a lot of adjustment because the original piece was older so had stretched in some places. A general rule of thumb is that if you want to copy a pattern from a piece of clothing, do it when the garment is new so you don’t have that stretching to deal with. It’s easiest when you take the original garment apart…

If someone has an existing pattern for breeches they could likely tweak it for this design but sewing that long seam is going to be a pain.

Good luck!

P.S. I too miss Equissentials, love the one remaining pair I have left.

Sadly 34 is too big! And I am looking for white for showing. I might try buying one white and black pair of breeches and try a seamstress but scared what that will cost me!

Go talk with the alteration tailors in town.
It is probably more affordable than you might think.
Things that takes an amateur hours are done in mere minutes by a seasoned pro.

Anything is possible. I hope you’re right and the OP is able to get what she wants.

I think I have a pair or two I’d sell you. What size are you? I think mine are L, but Im away for the next two week and I can check then One pair I know is chocolate brown.

FITS still has deerskin IIRC

On another thought… I have a pair of lovely deerskin breeches that are totally worn out BUT the deerskin is fine! Be glad to pass them along to anyone who can make themselves a pair with the leather. The leather is black.
