I’m looking for an alternative to the Merrick classic chicken my dog ate for years. Purina bought them out and the changes are rolling in. My dog is no longer interested so I’m trying to find him good quality alternatives.
Good food. Good company!
Their Whitefish and Potato dog food is the only food I’ve found that doesn’t make my dog gassy. I spent a lot of time comparing quality and price of dog foods before settling on Fromm–after deciding no more Purina Dog Chow.
I use Fromm puppy food for my 9 month old miniature Poodle puppy. The Breeder recommended it and in fact, he wanted me to use the Fromm Salmon & (I forget the other ingredient) food rather than puppy food. I believe the Breeder felt that the Salmon was a better choice because of no grain at all.
I did not like “fish breath” coming from a puppy.
I did a lot of research and decided to try the Fromm Puppy Food and my little Blacky loves it.
He got into our older dog’s food a few times and oh my the gas! Yikes, yikes, yikes.
We will stick with Fromm.

Absolutely LOVE the Fromm product line. Its the only one I would feed to our little dog and she does really well on it
Love the variety and the ingredient list. She’s not a fan of the fish based ones so we stay away from them
After much research, we are feeding Fromm. Very happy with it.
I started feeding it after my dogs both started getting diarrhea after starting a new bag of my old brand.
Diarrhea immediately cleared up and I’ve had no problems. I have one who will eat anything and one who is fairly picky. They both love it.
I use the Fromm Gold.
Love it! My chihuahua eats the Fromm Gold Small Breed and has never looked better.
I feed fromm limited ingredients salmon and tunalini…my dogs love it and no tummy upsets like some other foods gave them.
We feed Fromm’s Prairie Gold. Can’t think of which “flavor” right now, though.
I do. Fromm Gold Small Breed Adult.
I chose them because of their quality food reputation.
Looks like the local shop in town sells Fromm. She’s going to give me samples of various flavors to try with my small bag purchase.
My dog is an 11 year old border collie mix (to the best of my knowledge). He’s moderately active, still running multiple times per day. He’s just over 40lbs. He was on Merrick Classic chicken though I don’t think he ever really loved it. What would you suggest for him?
I just got an 8 week old Spoo puppy and have been doing dog food research. I’ve found a quite a few resources sending me to this very useful site: http://www.dogfoodadvisor.com

The duck and sweet potato was a crowd favorite here. Also the salmon ala veg. I like the Fromm Gold (black bag for adult) as well.

This is what our Breeder recommended for our poodle. I didn’t like fish breath, though!
I love the Fromm foods!

I have fed Fromm for 3 yrs now. When I had to have my older dog PTS, the younger one stopped eating. It took trying many samples to find one she would eat.
I usually get the Duck and Sweet Potatoe or Chicken. I found the White Fish gave my dog gas.
My vet is very happy with my dogs weight and health. Dyna is 10 now and still looks great.
I also “top dress” with food from The Honest Kitchen.
My guy gets Fromm! We couldn’t be happier with it. Good product and a company I trust. He originally got Orijen, but was never crazy about it and it made him super gassy. When we moved to an area where it was hard to get, Fromm was recommended to us. He loves it and has WAY less gas. Highly recommend!
As far as what one. Our 65 pound mutt gets Large Breed Adult. In his puzzles (Omega Treat Ball, Kongs, etc.) he gets the limited ingredient ones, as they’re like a treat to him. Salmon and Tunalini is his favorite!
Another Fromm fan here.
We do the Fromm Gold Large Breed Adult. It’s relatively affordable and the dog is finally not gassy.
