Who has worked for Laura Chapot?

Really

Really! The OP and the person who bumped this thread asked about how Laura is as an employer … not how she looks, not even about her health. And I think it’s pretty universally acknowledged that commenting on anyone’s appearance … and linking it to their health … is rude.

ETA - apologies! I totally misinterpreted the really.

That’s why I said REALLY. I agree

Ah! Sorry - I read it as an incredulous, “Really!?” Perils of Friday night internet-ing!

I agree, and honestly it takes a lot of strength to ride hot Grand Prix jumpers.

Glad I’m not the only person that has been confused on this thread.;)

I don’t know why people always feel justified in commenting on her appearance and health anytime her name is mentioned. In ANY context. Actually I do know… and it’s rude. I imagine she’s incredibly sick and tired of that crap because she’s been putting up with it her whole adult life.

“No frills” barn is an understatement. Those that I know personally, who worked for her, would not board their own horses there. That being said, they did say they learned a lot by working there and the ability to ride is a definite perk.

Ummm, this is not HSD. Comments on her appearance are really uncalled for. She rides a lot of very difficult horses and works very hard. I would doubt that she is that unhealthy and be able to keep up with her schedule.

Anyone who remembers Frank in his prime will know Laura takes after him, utterly fearless and a real speed demon. She seems to have a special talent for finessing the hot ones.

I think I’ve held my breath through her entire round a few times. She really goes for it.
I don’t understand the unkind remarks.
