1/2 also…Canadian Trakehner, Regent Link.
Schooling 3rd.
Can’t post a pic of her…says I cant’

three

I have three Anglo-Traks. I don’t show but hope to someday get some lessons and maybe do a couple of shows a year.

16 yo has photic headshaking. Most althetic horse I’ll ever own. She’s by Falke and out of a TB mare by O’Hara.

5 yo We’d be further along if she’d stop getting hurt in the pasture. She’s by Hennessey out of my TB mare (sadly lost to EPM) who was by Northern Flagship.

4 yo Just back from some basic training. She’s a full sister to 5 yo.

I have my own farm and no ring or footing so I’m mostly trudging through the mud to feed and check them over right now. :frowning:

Ten years ago, I bought one as a youngster, took him to second level and it was like a bad marriage. He would question everything, not one curious bone . . . well maybe when it came to treats. Every time we learned something new (that’s what dressage is all about) it was such a hardship, once he got it, it was no big deal, but getting there was so tough. I divorced him and he is still with his new wife, happily married I guess.

I don’t recall his breeding off hand, but he was out of the “M” line.

Currently I have a 3/4 Trak out of Hailo, and her son out of Tanzeln 6 months old. The mare is working somewhere around 3rd/4th but her changes are not confirmed and I’m not showing now.
I also had a full Trak out of Donauwind that I showed PSG I1.
My choice is the older style more substantial trak’s with some height. My mare is 17h, the gelding was 16.2.

I ride a Trak mare by Butow out of a Vincent mare. Here’s a pic from a couple of years ago, she’s had 3 foals so she’s had some gaps in training.

http://www.baumgartnersporthorses.com/fame.html

She’s open now (she was carrying a Contucci foal in the above pic) so I’m now working her with the hopes of showing her in 2009. Training level, first level? We’ll see how it goes

I have a Anglo Trak mare, by Veneziano, but she is a broodmare -

I own the very famous (in my own mind, that is) Frodo. He is an Anglo Trakehner by Paramoure out of my TB mare, Bugs, by Isella. He is working first level at 5 years old and is my pride and joy!

I am proud owner of THREE Trakehners, but only one of those 3 I actually RIDE!! And that is my stallion, Pacific. My other two are in foal.
We are just starting out…Pacific showed at Training level now in 2 shows, and we are schooling 1st-2nd with him now. He just turned 5 years, and he is my first Trakehner. I now ride several others for a breeder friend of mine, as well as my own horse. They are now my favorite breed…
Here are some pics Pacific and I at our first show in October.

Pacific is by a Russian Trakehner stallion who was training for the Russian Olympic team before being imported to Canada where he showed at the young riders level in dressage. His mother is by the very famous Enrico Caruso, sire of SO many high level dressage horses and approved stallions. I love my horse, he has the BEST temperment!! (he puts up with me, so he must be ok!! LOL!!)

I own… ummm… several LOL. All are on my website.

Bloodlines: a mix of several things. I have a gelding that is by Insterruf (he is retired, but showed 3’rd Level, 3’ hunters, and Preliem in his hey days quite the character)

I have a broodie by Avignon o/o a Ricardo mare.

I have another broodie by Pennant o/o a Medaille d’Or daughter.

I have another broodie that is 3/4 t’bred, but the 1/4 tk is Bagatel.

I have a gelding o/o the t’bred/tk mare and by Impressionist (Hailo/Mackensen).

His half sister and brother are by Oskar II.

I have a stallion o/o the Avignon mare that is by Onassis (Consul).

I have a filly that is o/o a Hailo/t’bred mare by Tanzeln (Enrico Carouso/Pregelstrand)

I have two other fillies this year that is by my Impressionist colt (one o/o a pony and one o/o the Pennant mare).

And lastly, I have a filly from this year that is o/o a Carino/t’bred mare and by Veneziano.

What level? None of them are rideable except the Impressionist colt and he is in Southern Pines with an event rider learnign the ropes. The stallion is going to be lightly broke prior to breeding season (he is 2 1/2, 3 in March). But my Oskar filly was HOY for the USDF this year for yearling fillies…

Not yet riding age, but I have a spectacular filly by Oskar II out of my ATA approved Thoroughbred mare, Pure Preppy (Da White Judge-Pure Innocence x Accused/Alleged). She scored a 52 at her inspection, 1 point behind the highest scoring (pure TK) mare who was 1/2 her age and in show shape (she was preggers w/my filly at the time). TKR Playbook is a stunner and super intelligent and adorable. She turns 2 in '09. She is verry leggy and should be quite a good competition horse and producer as time goes on…

Anissa, I think you need some more horses. I dont think you have enuff.

HA! Those are just my TKs! I also have a pony mare and a Conn pony cross from that that mare. And I have a foal coming next year… breeding is like Lays potato chips right? You can’t just have one??:lol::lol:

Who is riding a Dutch Warmblooooooooooooooood

STF, you left us ooooooooout!

Well I have a 1/2 Trakehner :stuck_out_tongue: 1/2 Hanoverian. But I think he’s more Trak, so he can go here

His name is Enrique. He’s 6 years old. 17.3hh. He was started late. as an almost 5 year old, so hasn’t been undersaddle all that long. We’re schooling 1st level with hopes to show it this summer. Body wise, he’s THICK. He looks like one of the older type trakehners. Personality wise, he’s actually mostly calm. but he does sometimes get that spooky, unreasonable afraid-of-the-kleenex type personality that I’ve heard associated with Traks

He’s by Hylee Recommended (Morgenstern x Helsinki) out of an Arkansas mare.

I have an Abdullah baby and I absolutely love her

Will (Westmoreland) is half trakehner, out of my Luminare (Laiken) and by West Coast

I have an Always (by Royal Ransom (Mahagoni) out of E Anthea) daughter out of a TB mare. She’s the greatest!!
