Who here owns a Hanoverian???

I’ll play. I have mainly Hanoverians, though I also treasure several Oldenburg broodmares that I use to make more Hanoverians

Ladies:

Wintermaske (Weltbekannt/ Rubinstein I) - worked thru her 6 year old year showing well at Second Level and schooling Third), now a mama mare (breed the best)

Wolkenstanza (Wolkentanz I/ Rohdiamant) - under saddle and working beautifully, hoping to do the FEI YH stuff, has had one foal and 3 ETs coming

Diva (Donnerhall/ Garduelan) - coming nine, did her perfomance testing in Germany and is now a broodie for me

Dominique - (Don Schuro/ Rohdiamant) - coming 3, 16.3 hands and almost ready to start under saddle. Plan to do her inspection and mare performance test next fall.

Fantastica (Fabuleux/ Rubinstein I) - coming two, hanging out and growing up

Baby boys:

Flamboyant (Florencio/ Donnerhall) - coming three and about to be started under saddle

Fidelio (Fidertanz/ Wolkentanz) - '08 model

Royal Don (Royal Prince/ Donnerhall0 - another '08

Hot to Trot - (Hotline/ Rohdiamant) - another '08 in a very coltish year

Eight more coming next year

I have a 14 yr old Hanoverian gelding, by former Celle stallion Tannenhain xx out of a G-line mare.

Thirteen year old 17hh Hanoverian gelding by Armin. Lower level Dressage (schooled to 3rd) and a great Jumper. He has told me he prefers Jumping to Dressage, but in the photo he had to do both (eventing derby!!) (my trainer is riding in the photo)

What level are you working at?

the sire line on this one takes a “chaw” out of his back pocket and thinks dressaggy is silly…he’s great across open country though

Post a pic of your boy/girl?

I have two.

23 year old gelding by Trapper out of ??? can’t remember dam line… but it’s good. GP trained. One incredible incredible horse.

7 month old filly (Sinatra Song/Rotspon/Davignon/Matcho/Garbaldi)

There is close dam line relationship to approved stallions Del Piero and DiVersace via SPS Marschfee. My filly’s dam is 3/4 sister to the late stallion Rubiano. http://www.bridlewoodhanoverians.com/german.php I think she’s going to be a super mare!

I have two!

A 12 yrs old gelding by Sherlock Holmes out of a Weltmeyer mare
and a 9 yr old by Weltbekannt out of a Wertherson mare.

Both do dressage, but my Sherlock Holmes gelding really likes to jump as well.

my mare is 1/2 HAN & 1/2 TB reg GOV. (?!)

Wolkentanz I x Lady Ivorson

ooops forgot : we are training 3rd with hopes of FEI (if i can get a saddle that works!)

I have a M-Line hano too. Mattgold was his sire. We’re working at 1st level.

Hansiska …thanks for the compliments on my Donella  What is your mare like? What are you wanting to improve? We have two DF’s here, both are alot like their momma but he does very reliably produce more shoulder freedom and just a better front end overall. From my own as well as from what I have heard from others who own DF’s they tend to be quite distinct in their personalities.

STF, thanks! She is not going to be tall, 16.1 I am guessing as she is 15.3 hh at coming three. Her dam is just 16 hh and both Donella and her full sister are on the small side. Interestingly, their full brother, who is a yearling now is HUGE …height wise. I think DF isn’t the most reliable in terms of height.
Both fillies have some spunk, they are very very people oriented but are quite alpha and really smart. They are also really bold and will run right up to anything new. Their dam is very different this way…she is a more nervous , flighty mare and very bottom of the totem pole…so they definately got their temperaments from their sire.

I had…my best buddy Alston aka “Big AL”.

His Pedigree (By Achat) Abglanz line

We didn’t make it past training level when he stumbled at a hunter show and hurt his stifle. He never came sound but just too good of a soul to let go, so he spent the last 4 years with me doing the occasional trail ride and light work, but mostly just being spoiled.

He passed away April 19, 2008.

Conformation shot

It’ll make you smile

Jennifer- do you have any pix?

Mattgold is half brother to Max!

Max was large bay horse, and my guy is smaller red version of him. (They are ‘shaped’ the same and move WONDERFUL, 3 excellent gaits and VERY trainable!)

What I wouldn’t give to have another one from the same breeding! Just fabulous, fabulous hanos, and I am not sure why this line never seemed to have caught on in U.S., I guess because there were plenty of other excellent lines, and the A-lines were the ‘in thing’ at the time too.

I have two- soon to be three.

My mare is by Hohenstein and out of a Lungau X Akzent II dam. I showed her succesfully through 4th level before retiring her to the broodmare realm. She is currently in foal to Donatelli- I am so excited for next spring, but also sad, since he passed on recently. I am trying to decide who to breed her back to in the spring.

My second hanoverian is the first foal out of my mare and by Ambiente (Alabaster X Bolero). He’s almost 7 and currently schooling third level. I absolutely love riding him, and am looking forward to the arrival of his half brother/sister!

Donella, I emailed you directly; I can’t post photos here.

Molliwog – nice bloodlines! Pictures?

I have Graf Robert, who is much, muich better than I am. He is a Graf Gottard Z baby.

I have a Samarant youngster - a coming 2 year old. He’s such a love. When I pet him or scratch his shoulder (i’m standing in front of him), he wraps his long neck around me and gives me a hug. He does this every time. I’ve mostly had mares and most of mares have been sweet, but I’ve never had a gelding this sweet and loving before.

I have youngsters by Fidertanz, Pablo, Baroncelli. Expecting foals by Rotspon & Furst Romancier this year.
Also have a 22 yr old AHS gelding who is the babysitter.
Can see pics of them by going to www.whitfieldfarm.shutterfly.com

Wienna

I first saw Wienna on a video advertising her sire at stud, where she sold at auction for 460,000DM. I fell in love with her and spent two years trying to find her and then in 2006 I travelled from Australia to Holland just to see her in the flesh. I had tried to organise an embryo but it was too late in the season. Then (long story) in 2007 I managed to purchase her but could not bring her back to Australia (horse flu) until a month ago.

Wienna is such a loving mare, always calling out to me and comes as soon as she sees me drive up. Her foal is by Leonardo Da Vinci and is 6 months old and has her mothers nature.

I just love this mare, she is always murming and moving her lips as she 'talks’to me. She is very easy to ride and this morning offered me piaffe. She has lost a lot of weight but has settled in very well and is such a friendly, loving mare. She is such a delight to have around the house and I feel very horoured to ows such a black beauty. She is my dream horse and I keep pinching myself as it is so hard to beleive that she is here. She is such a very special mare and I spend every free moment just being with her, even going out at 2 and 3am in the morning;)

Dreams do come true…

video (that I saw and fell in love with her) is at:

I just love this mare:winkgrin:

SanM – she is just lovely! I think everyone who reads your post can picture how much you love this horse. I can’t imagine the auction purchaser letting her go – but good for you!!

While I know how talented the auction riders are, I was amazed watching at the Verden auction and then was reminded of it with your video, how most of the horses handle the atmosphere so amazingly well. How many horses wouldn’t even venture out of the tunnel? Or if they did, how quickly they’d turn back around to go back to the stalls!

Again, she’s just lovely!

San Miranda, stories like yours touch my soul. You are truly blessed.
