And is he being serious?
I was laughing at first but then I thought “maybe he means it”, which made me laugh even harder. But who is he?
And is he being serious?
I was laughing at first but then I thought “maybe he means it”, which made me laugh even harder. But who is he?
He’s been around for a minute. Literally just a German rider/trainer based in the US and perpetually dismayed by it. Has his moments and can be funny. Recently think he’s been on a real push to monetize, either as some sort of influencer or maybe selling a training course or something.
I did make it past the first minute. Sorry, I look like a bag lady when I go to the barn. And I ride in those clothes. Sorry, we don’t even have a tack store in our city (300,000-ish people). I have an odd body type so ordering on line is akin to finding the right saddle…not going to waste my time. Not currently showing, lesson-ing, or clinic-ing. My horse doesn’t care. If I do return to any of those activities, I will spiffy up. For everyday riding…not so much.
The part that I laughed the hardest at, but yet agreed a bit was walking the course. I don’t think a rider needs to wear their finest threads to walk a course, but of course you need to have your head in the game.
What is his name? Is he located in Florida?
“Show Attire”
“Sloppy Course Walks”
“I see people at a proper horse show”
He is not talking about how folks behave at home. This is specifically a rant about how you present yourself at shows.
Bahaha!! OMG
Hard to say whether or not he’s serious, but this is pretty funny – and I think he needs a few more sponsors on his shirt
Is that The German Trainer? I have seen some of his videos and he is hilarious. I don’t know who he actually is though.
His stuff is comedic, mostly! That’s been his social media “brand” for years - tongue-in-cheek, unserious, a bit of satire and hamming it up for the camera. I think he’s funny, but I can understand how people might take a dislike to his content. Especially if they stumble across one and don’t “get” that he’s rarely being serious.
However, I will point out that I did not watch the posted clip because I’m on a FB/Insta/Tik Tok break, so I may be commenting this about the one clip in a minute where he’s being serious
Yes all the “badges” of sponsors made me laugh. But I wasn’t sure if he was serious about those either.
So not knowing him I’m going to take his video as satire. He seemed funny but it kind of dragged on from humor to a rant.
That’s Ronny Reimer, he lives in Ocala/Morriston near HITS.
Webpage.
I follow him on Insta-- he’s got both funny content (his “Sandy Bottoms” character is hilarious!) and serious riding/training videos.
I do as well. The whole rant about “horse show nannies” actually had me laughing. There is at least some truth to his comedy, though.
I watched it with the sound off and captions so I got the entertainment of “show a tire” and “mountain block”.
So I saw this one today and it is right on point with poor riding and horse shows. Nothing to laugh at because it’s true.
