Wish AP was still on the track… was hoping for an AP v Beholder matchup last year 
I answered these in a first-thought, personal preference kind of way but I’m not sure that’s what you were looking for. That said, I like all of these horses very much.

Nyquist or Songbird? Can I say both? I hate this question haha. Songbird maybe by like the very barest of margins. That said, I’m riding the Nyquist train pretty hard right now so I’m not positive of that one but she was my first thought so I’ll say her

Seems like this year some very nice quality horses including older company and always wonder how, in a “mixed” race (either age or gender) how people think their favorites might fare. I realize track, weather and PP would play a part but just assuming a even playing field…
- Beholder.
- California Chrome.
- ?
- Nyquist.
I don’t think Beholder can beat Chrome at 1 1/4, or Nyquist. I don’t think Songbird could beat any of them. Chrome vs Nyquist is too early to tell. (And Pharoah smokes them all at this point, but sadly he’s no longer running.)
I can’t decide as I love them all!

California Chrome - he’s fairly battle tested these days. In terms of sheer talent though, I couldn’t really decide on a winner.

Songbird. I think she smokes Nyquist, personally. Not that it would be an easy battle.
I think we all wish AP was still on the track 
Happy to see him retired sound and cheerful, but my god, what his four year old campaign almost certainly would have been! I do think he smokes them all, but Beholder and Songbird probably would not give it to him on a silver platter, either.
