for a farrier in South Eastern MA…
wow not one response? I know this can turn into a touchy subject but I’m just trying to get some general info before I relocate
I don’t have any recommendations but perhaps you could change your thread title to “SE MA Farriers?” or the like.
Post on equinesite.com and yes change the title of your thread ;).
or try:

Be patient. You need to give time for people who actually keep horses in that area to respond. Board traffic is slow this week with the holiday and following the WEG.
Put more info in the title and bump it up every few days to keep it on page one.
Ditto what everyone else said, change your title to be specific.
Additionally, you may want to consider adding more detail.
Will you be boarding? or keeping horse at home? (boarding barns often require you use a specific farrier)
How many horses. 1 or 5?
Breed/Discipline? H/J, Saddle horses, trail riding? Very much a breed/discipline specialty business in this area.
What towns/region? on Cape? off Cape? Island? Most farriers have a pretty full book of business and are busy enough that they don’t have time for the onesy-twosy farmette, especially if they have to deal with summer traffic.
I second the above - Neo. When we lived in that area I rode at Carly, his wife’s, barn so often got to see him work on their horses. He’s very good.
I like Mark Hebert, Garrett Maloney, John Blombach, and Myron McLane. I would only use the last two if my horse had really challenging shoeing needs. They are excellent, but more limited time and quite expensive. I’ll PM you one name I think you should avoid, although many still use him.
Mark Hebert
thanks all one that has been mentioned to me by perspective barn is Joe D sumpin…guess he was at Head of the Bay…
I have used Patrick Strong–he’s been the only one in MA to actually keep my horse sound… I’ve gone through almost all of the farriers listed above (and some) and had a terrible time. Patrick has been doing him for 2+ years now and he is very professional, does a great job and really cares about his work. I have his contact info if needed!
