Whole Foods has dropped Oat Flour :(

They no longer carry it in the bulk section, does anyone know of a source? I tried Arrowhead Mills, and King Arthur with no luck. My horse’s tummy thanks you for your help!

I’ve ordered direct from Honeyville in the past (not oat flour, but other stuff). I see they list a 50 lb. oat flour - http://shop.honeyville.com/oat-flour-50lb.html
But I’m not sure how much shipping is. Oops, I see it is $4.99 for any order.

Thank you for the recommendation Horsepoor, It is good to know Honeyville is reliable. I am really hoping a 10 or 25 pound bag will be available somewhere, but if not Honeyville it is.

Did you ask Whole Foods if they could order it in for you? I have a couple of things like that, certain varieties of food/drink that our local Whole Foods doesn’t stock but will order for us.

Item # 2388 is bulk OAT FLOUR ORGANIC at WINCO

Yes, horsepoor, we are thinking alike. I ask at Whole Food but they said they can’t order it.
clanter, thank you for the suggestion, but there are no Winco stores in my area. Maybe they can ship it?

contact the Customer Service at the nearest Winco

You can buy anything on Amazon.

Vitacost.com has it in small packages…probably not cost effective that way, but if you are desperate…

Try Bob’s Red Mill. They have whole oat flour. Link attached above.

I second this. Works great.

How much oat flour do you feed per feeding for hind gut ulcers???

You can also get a grain mill that attaches to a kitchenaid mixer

No, you’d want oat groats, not whole oats. Oat flour is made from the groat (hulls removed). Coffee grinders work better than most food processors at grinding grains into a fine powder.

Food-quality rolled oats like old-fashioned oatmeal don’t have hulls. I don’t if rolled oats sold for livestock feed have hulls or not.

My Spice Sage has it in a variety of weights:

Thank you all so much for all the help and links, I think a local bakery will be able to order it for me.
I am feeding it to a horse that may have had hind gut ulcers in the past. He gets
1 cup of oat floor + 1 cup of flax seed + his supplements, split into two feedings.
