I have been watching show results for a few weeks for both WEF and HITS.
Why is the large junior division at HITS done in a California split each week? They do this even if there is only 12-15 in the class & it seems to be the only class at the show that is split this way? The low junior hunters have more numbers and have never been split. I haven’t noticed any splits at WEF other then a section A or B for the big eq.
I’m guessing the rules are the same as the A/O rules - within a height section (either 3’3" or 3’6"), if one age split has less than 6 entries but the total number of entries is 12 or more, they combine the age splits and run on a cali split.
example - I’ve had multiple instances where there were 5 younger 3’3" A/Os and 8 or more olders, and we combined there.
