EPM or OCD?
I think the search function doesn’t work on words under 4 letters because those tend to be common words such as and, the, if, I, etc. Unfortunately this has the effect of eliminating the ability to search for short acronyms. Acronyms with 4 or more letters such as USEF and COTH seem to work fine.

Yes, it makes sense but it is still a serious flaw in the system.
There are MANY things that are horse related that have three letter acronyms. I think that this should be addressed.
I was written to by one of the moderators ages ago that this was going to be fixed.

Yes, I tried to change it, but was told by the tech people that it would likely bring the BB to a crashing halt if too many people were conducting searches at the same time. So we left it the way it was.
Please remember that this is a FREE BB, with more than THIRTY THOUSAND registered users (and untold unregistered). That is HUGE. COTH already pays a pretty penny to support it, and we try to keep costs down where we can. If it’s a choice between people being able to search for XYZ and us having to spend $1000/month more on a uber-powerful server… XYZ loses. 
You can use Google to search the BB for whatever you like. Look elsewhere in the Help forum and you’ll find instructions on how to do so.
