Wow, I just went to that page! It’s hilarious.
“One of Chromes favorite things is to get a bath. We’ve seen hundreds of pics of him getting bathed. He’s been in England for 2 months now. I’ve never seen a picture of him getting a bath over there. Is this because of all the rain?”

Keep on reading, it gets more entertaining. I’m half chewing my fingers off to not comment too much over the angst on the bleeding mouth picture. I don’t think 95% of the people on there know much of anything about horses, let alone racehorses. I’ll admit I don’t know much about TB racing, a lot more about STBs and I admit to riding a QH that I’d rather didn’t go fast, but I feel like the next Bob Baffert compared to some of the regulars there. It’s an entertaining afternoon read with a cold beverage.
Wow, that bunch is nuts…
“They’re going to run his guts out!”
The horse has raced two times this year…

I feel dumber for having read three posts on that page. Wow. Just, wow.
Social media has turned the world upside down. Whatever happened to “normal” adoring public, with droves of happy eager fans like Cigar had? Now it’s nothing but a bunch of my little pony freaks hellbent on cyber stalking. Scary.

Lol! It’s sad that it’s true but I love your (very accurate) description.
I think they’re absolute lunatics who are anthropomorphizing their feelings into an animal that very much lives in the moment. I broke my knee on Monday. Had surgery Tuesday. Clearly, not going to the barn, so my dad has been FaceTiming the horses for me (but also so I can see what the feed shed looks like and can tell him exactly what to feed). My two like to huff and the camera and my little mare licks it when I make kissy sounds, but they’re only interested for at most 20 seconds before they start hollering and banging for food. And if they’re already eating, haha. Forget it.

Thats just jaw droppingly out there. Wish I had the guts to post there and suggest they just pull out the checkbook or starting a funding page to go buy him and “rescue” him from…galloping across the meadows on a cool morning?
Interesting there’s a reference to his former trainer and Swaps? Anybody ever see how that horse was treated after he retired at Ellsworth’s ranch out in Chino??? Struck me as an odd choice accompanying a free for all pile on of CCs current management.

They already discussed buying him and rescuing him from overseas. If you really want to stop the crazies, report the page to FB.

Ha. No kidding. I have a broken knee. I need some entertainment in life right now.
Yesterday I saw a nice story about Chrome where the guy handling his training talked about how he’s doing, and mentioned he was a bit tucked up when he arrived in England, and also mentioned him lying down a lot.
At the time, the first comment on the story was someone freaking out because HORSES DON’T LIE DOWN and clearly something was VERY WRONG and OMG!!!
I’m so mystified by these people. I can’t help but watch, because they are so insane and clueless.

Off topic, but I still remember Ellsworth getting busted for letting a whole bunch of brood mares starve.
I’m looking forward to Chrome’s work later on this week. Actually, it sounds like he is doing very well.
Interesting article.

If that photo accurately reflects his current condition? He was a looker before but he has really absolutely blossomed here, look at that coat…and without a bath too:lol:

WHY ARE THEY DENYING HIM HIS BATHS? HE LOVES HIS BATHS!!!
Going to be able to sleep much easier tonight!
Ellsworth’s farm starved Iron Reward, Swaps’s dam, to death along with either 13 or 29 others (can’t remember). 130 horses were found emaciated on his ranch.
