Aramas from Dover. However, I just looked at the Edgewood, linked to above, and it might be even better. I wonder if the Edgewood will get as dark as I like tho. The Aramas gets very soft and dark.

The unpadded Edgewood is my go-to wide, and my favorite brand. Pessoa does make an unpadded wide, though I can’t vouch for the quality.

Both of these are nice options, with reins included for the price:

Nunn Finer Caterina: https://www.farmhousetack.com/nunn-f…hunter-bridle/

Aramas: http://shop.ordertenneys.com/bridles…s-bridle-1505/

I’ve owned both, and was pleased with the quality. The Farmhouse oiled my Nunn Finer bridle for me and it darkened very nicely. I prefer them to the Pessoa or the Ovation, which are other popular options.

Another vote for the Edgewood unpadded wide noseband.

What size do you need? I might have gone a little hog wild buying bridles for my now retired horse

I have the Dyon wide unpadded noseband (both sizes actually :D) and a Huntley! But no hunter of course :confused:I believe both are in that range.

If you could hunt for a Hadfields, (my first choice) they sometimes pop up “reasonably” priced. I’ve scored a few of mine on eBay, you just have to be dedicated to search whenever at all possible.

Edgewood, as other’s have mentioned

I know someone who just bought the Ovation Wide Noseband and they are incredibly happy with it, even though it’s not up to par with some of the other brands, she was very impressed with the bridle. Plus, economically more affordable than some of the other brands.

I love my C & C Signature wide noseband bridle. Very reasonably priced.

What is the quality like? I’ve never seen that brand in person

I have the Hadfield, Beval Heritage, Edgewood, Classic Equine, Aramas, and Smartpak Wellfleet. The Hadfield is obviously the nicest although the old Bevals are pretty darn close. The new Bevals aren’t nearly as nice. Neither was $400 with reins news, they were both more. The Edgewood is the next nicest although they stretch. Also not $400 new with reins. I think the style of the Edgewood is just a tiny, tiny bit less refined and clunkier than the Hadlfield and Beval Heritage. The classic equine, Aramas, and Wellfleet are all nice and in your price point/close thereto with reins if you can find them. I have had good experiences with them, although there were some quality issues with HK that seem to have now resolved.

Edgewood wide nose-band is my favorite! Cant beat it. No luck with a mono-crown in this though!

i have a C&C wide noseband bridle as well and I can say for the price it’s a great deal. It takes some oiling to get it nice and supple and soft but even out of the box it looks great and only a little stiff. It also comes with reins!

It wont beat Edgewood or a nicer brand but for a mid-range affordable fancy bridle, I love it.

Pessoa makes a beautiful one.

Huntley or RC

https://horsecountrycarrot.com/index.cfm?action=store&sub=product&prod=511&cat=181 A little over 400 but very high quality. Needs to be oiled a lot, comes very stiff. I find the nose band is so wide that is might not look great on a horse with a blaze-- but it looks beautiful on by bay horse with a star!

I don’t know if the OP is looking for hunting or showing but that would look very out of place for showing here. Old school and I like it, but I think it would stick out. For hunting probably not!

I haven’t seen in person but I do trust Dy’on
