Yay! Go, you!!
Now walking the medal.
I have to say that the decor team has outdone themselves. The PG Coliseum is an attractive ring, but the florals are beautiful. I am sure that putting up those walls of fake hedge was not any particular fun, but theyāve blocked the horsesā view of that area in the back left corner that always has the curtains blowing where horses are consistently convinced theyāre about to die.
You made it home!
It seems to be a tough course. Many rails down.
Not uneventfully. My car, which just came out of the shop on Thursday night after a $2000 repair, threw an emergency warning light on 95.
I was on my way from the barn to Costco to get Halloween candy. I may or may not have started to eat it myself. My fall so far has been full of tricks, and the universe seems very unwilling to provide me with any treats, so I just have to take care of my own self. Anyone want a Snickers?
Thanks! Iāll have one. Glad you made it off the freeway.
It heard me say that my vet thought my creaky old horse still had room in his hocks to inject them and plan that for this winter, and I guess it got jealous that he was getting something it didnāt have.
I was glad they adjusted the time allowed as I thought the first rider was pretty economical, but some of these kids are still having trouble making it in! Iām curious how the track walks.
Probably a very nitpicky note here, but the whip that one of the riders Is carrying is very short, and over every jump it goes from pointing back to pointing down at her horseās front foot, and all I can see now is her hand rotating backwards to cause that to happen. It probably shouldnāt bother me but it was driving me crazy that it was actively moving so much.
Since weāve been having that conversation about horse height over in another thread, now all I can see is that either these horses are all enormous moose, or these kids all stopped growing at age 13.
I am geekily excited to see Acer K and Waldo go.
Youāre not the only one!
Iām also very fond of this horse Tanzanite. He is READY!
His ears!
Singani is a big one.
Gang, thatās about a third of you who have had a tough time with that lead change up against the curve of the ring, so perhaps we consider the track in hopes of a more successful outcome?
Iām a bit disappointed thereās no commentary. Hasnāt there been in previous years?
So sad Iām not watching in person! A friend and I were going to head down tonight to watch the finals and WC class, but couldnāt even buy two tickets together this morning! In all my years of spectating downtown, I was never not able to buy a ticket the day of.
Good for them, glad theyāre selling out and attracting plenty of spectators! At least this way I can watch in my sweats.
Yes, thatās good to read. Though I believe there are many less seats, so it may not be that many spectators.
