Will an ultrasonic bark deterrent harm/bother/annoy the horses?

Looking for a humane way to “train” the neighbor’s dogs to stop barking at the stabled horses.

Anyone try one of these and any thoughts on if it could upset the horses? (see link below for example)

The horses hate the barking - and even more, they hate the dog lurking in the bushes and then lots of barking when a horse goes into a walkout. But I don’t want to hurt the horses in any way trying to shut the dogs up. We can also hear it in the house over the TV so it is quite loud and incessant (as in, nonstop for the past two hours now…and still going…).

Have tried many times to talk to neighbor. It gets better for a week and then worse again. Do not want to file a barking dog complaint, neighbors are good people but are deaf to the barking of their own dogs.

Here is an example of a device:

I tried it with my dog and it didn’t do squat. No horses around.

For the neighbor’s dog I would consider a hose or supersoaker. Let him come home wet a few times and maybe they will become less deaf to the barking.

They don’t work unfortunately.

I don’t know about how well one works for barking but I used a high-pitch device called a “Dazer” (you carry and press a button) to get rid of some aggressive-seeming dogs that used to follow us on our rides. I never had a horse react to the sound at all but the dogs sure skedaddled.
