Are there any thoughts about this? Has anyone heard anything?

Personally I think they will wait until closer to the event and see what happens. Unfortunately, unless this takes a massive positive turn, my personal guess is that there will be issues with large events like this. Europe seems to be restricting them now. I definitely cannot see myself going at this time. Luckily I only have what I spent on the tickets to lose. It just doesn’t seem worth it right now.

It’s so far away still. I feel like a lot of the hype will blow over before then, but we’ll see… Still expecting to go.

I think it is likely that the show will be canceled (at least with respect to spectators, as has been done with shows in Europe.) It makes me sad, because this was the first time I got tickets and planned to go. But the reality of the situation is that the only effective strategy for limiting the spread of this virus is for people not to congregate in groups.
For those who feel this is overblown, I would gently point out that the US has done very, very little testing compared to other countries. Those countries with more people identified do not necessarily have a higher incidence of coronavirus than we do; they simply know more about who is sick. We have no idea.

I got in an argument with a guy on FB that was going on about how dumb it was to cancel events like rodeos (ignorant cowboy type) and that people should be allowed to make their own decisions whether to go or not. I’m not worried about the general population getting sick, but people like my dad, who has a lot of medical issues now AND is a doctor. If he catches it…I’m really, really worried. He has to have gallbladder surgery this coming week too so his body will be trying to heal from that too. My mom has some issues too. If something happens to either of them because some people are more concerned with being able to go out and have fun because they think this is all no big deal…I don’t know what I will do.

Yeah, bummer, but now the lawsuits are coming from cruise ship passengers – so I get that most events need to cancel now just to avoid litigation.
