Dorina is really hoping you feel better soon. So am I. I have a hunch that this may be a ploy for your entry into full time retirement with an ice cream freezer. If your modder (you loff her) throws you a retirement party, I have a great recipe for karroten soup that would probably freeze up nicely

Coreene and MCS, if I could figure out a way to fed-ex you a hug, I would. When these things happen (I had it happen to me last year, when the Spotted One came down with a whomping case of pneumonia, and only 30% of his lungs were working and the rest abscessed), it hits us in that gushy part in the middle of our stomachs. I’m glad that Willem’s personality is still there – the worst part for me was when my pushy, obnoxious, uninterested in people horse was nuzzling up and leaning on me. Keep us updated if you can: we’re hoping and jingling for you. But if you sometimes don’t feel like writing for us, that’s ok too. We know you’ve got alot on your plate. We’ll be jingling anyway.

KathyR, there’s an update from Coreene on page 7, but that’s it. Last we heard he was still eating everything in reach, teasing his horsie buddies, and getting mad about his medication, so those are good signs.

I went to Northern California for the weekend. I came home to find Dorina has a-bout 100 curb chains braided into her tail and is shaking her grosse schwartze butt all day long. She is too busy shaking to even tell me why. But now I know… I think you need an ice cream maker for therapeutic purposes of course.

Just a little historical perspective on “jingles”:
Coreene and I-- yes, blame the two of us-- were the California instigators of “jingling.” But guess what? When Lord Helpus and I were at the museum in Kentucky Horse Park, we saw an exhibit of ancient bits and tack. There was this old Celtic bit from about 3,000 BC and it had metallic coin-like objects dangling from the cheekpieces. Why?It’s believed the jingling brought superstitious good vibes/blessings onto the horse and its rider!
So I am mentally jingling my imaginary ancient Celtic janglers for Willem. Come on, Big Red Guy, you can pull through this!
