Wind puff on hock?

Yesterday I came across this what looks like a wind puff on my gelding’s hock. No heat or other swelling. The lump is squishy and it doesn’t bother him with me touching it. He is used for light riding flat work due to arthritis in his hocks and stifles. How should I treat this? TIA

Looks like a bog spavin.

We used to monitor and maybe use some topical cream on it.
Many such come and go, are a distended bursa, rarely from serious problems in there.

Run it thru your vet, they may have a different protocol for those today.

Looks like a thoroughpin, totally cosmetic as long as there’s no heat or soreness. My horse popped one a few years ago and my vet reassured me that it was nothing.

Many sport horses have them, it does not normally bother them, i would leave it as it IS. They normally do not go away
