Winter tall boots with wide footbed

Can anyone with wide feet and/or a high arch recommend a winter tall boot? Leather or synthetic not important, and they need not be show-worthy. In fact the dressy ones are likely to be too tailored. Budget is up to $200 with less expensive certainly better.

I recently moved back to New England and my cheapie Dafnas/Ovation Blizzards, which I wore in a size 9 despite being a 7.5 to keep the waterproofing seam from digging into the top of my foot, have long since been retired. It looks like the selection of winter tall boots has exploded, and I see plenty of wide calf, but I’m specifically looking for a wide footbed. Yes, I know I could get leather ones and have them stretched but that’s made limited improvements in the past.

15-16" from back of knee to floor depending on how measured, 15.5" calf, 7.5-8 wide shoe size.

If nothing comes to mind, I’ll just size up on one that has laces or velcro straps, but I’d rather not be tripping over the extra length at the toe

I’m also in New England, so I hear you on the need for good winter boots!

I’ve found Mountain Horse to have the widest footbed overall. I had the winter tall boots for years and they are warm, but quite clunky.

I splurged on a pair of the Ariat Coniston’s last year and think they are well worth the money. I have a high arch and am wide across the ball of my foot. For reference, I can do Ariat Terrains, but most of their paddock & tall boots are too narrow and I can’t wear their zipper version of any style. The Coniston boots are wide enough across the foot and the laces mean I can adjust the calf width based on what I’m wearing.

Dublin may also be worth looking into. I haven’t had a pair of their winter boots but recall their paddock boots running wide.

I second the Mountain Horse for a wide footbed, and clunkiness - it took a couple rides to get used to them. They are warm too!

You might also look at men’s boots to get more width.

Another vote for Mountain Horse. LOVE THEM

I love the ariat conistons. I had mountain horse winter boots and the footbed cracked after less than one season. The ariats are more comfortable, easier to ride in, and warmer. Definitely worth the extra cash

Thanks, all!

I have wide feet with a normal arch. I have been really happy with the Equivinia boots (formerly Horze). I put in aftermarket insoles, and they are really comfortable: https://www.equinavia.com/horze-rover-winter-tall-boots-p-39077/p
