The Historic Review Committee selected jockey Darrel McHague (now 65) and racehorse Tom Bowling (foaled 1870, 14-3-0 from 17 starts).

Pillars of the Turf selected Alice Headley Chandler (founder of Mill Ridge Farm), J Keene Daingerfield, Jr (mostly well known as a sell respected steward) and George D Widener, Jr (owner, breeder, Chairman of The Jockey Club for 14 years)
