Wishful thinking? Too good to be true? A scam?

Yes there are variations to the diet that can be made, this is the one recommended by most doctors though because there’s a lower risk of complications. The problem with low carb/low protein is that your body can start eating muscle and will even go after organs. You can give yourself a heart arrhythmia.

But it also VERY much depends on what the current diet is. If you’re a vegetarian/vegan going low protein isn’t going to be as hard on your body.

Oh I meant low carb and whatever protein you want, and moderate fat. Like eat however much eggs, cheese and chicken etc you want (not pounds of bacon but have some if you feel like it).

I found it so filling it ends up being a bit calorie restricted without trying.

I think literally vegetables only will leave you feeling hungry and will have your body eating itself but not in a good way.

@Jackie_Cochran How much of the Primrose do you take daily? My Aunt has arthritic hands so I will pass this information on to her. She loves the more natural cures. She will have to check if it will interfere with her other medications.

@ShenanAnna Are you saying 400g of ginger AM and PM? Because (to me reading it) you said the Dr said 400g once a day. Just trying to get it clear in my head. Only have one “original parts” knee, which I would like to keep using as long as possible! Ha ha Other “new” knee works fine.

Thank you both for the recommends, they sound interesting to give a try.

@goodhors,

When I got diagnosed with MS Evening Primrose Oil was EXPENSIVE. I am pretty sure I just took 1,000 mg a day.

It is much cheaper now, even Walmart carries it. I don’t take it now because it seems to interfere with my MS medicine (just makes the medicine less effective). On the bottle of Spring Valley Evening Primrose Oil the dosage is 1,000 mg a day (one soft gel capsule). This is the one we get at Walmart.

More might be nice for your aunt, I play it by ear. This is the one Omega-6 fatty acid that does NOT cause inflammation. If I felt I needed it I probably would be fine going up to 3,000 mg a day. Just more essential fatty acid in one’s diet.

25 might be doable because it is 1 lb/day. StormyDay, if I can say it inoffensively, seems to have some sort of expertise: observation, or experience perhaps? How long does the recovery last? Did the horse have time off or were you okay to ride?

In the end I guess we are supposed to make a lifestyle adjustment and only eat things that are good for us, like dark chocolate. There is something in it that has nutritional value. It may have to do with metabolism. I haven’t fiigured that out yet, but I intend to continue invetigation and experimentation. I"ll be sure to post if I ever find the answer.

My friends have confirmed that green things are, in fact, vegetables. I wasn’t certain so I have avoided eating green things. Vegetables are supposed to be good for you. They taste pretty good with blue cheese salad dressing or butter slathered over the top. Otherwise I’m not sure what the attraction is.

Tastes like dirt!!

Hahahha well dang life isn’t worth living! Yeah I can do the keto (protein protein and more protein) thing for a month and see what happens. Does one actually poop on this diet?

I had to have internal surgery and was on a liquid only diet for 2 weeks after and a protein only diet for a week before.

I kind of wanted to crawl into a hole and die. No riding, because stitches, but even if I could have I wouldn’t have the energy.

“You can lose 72 pounds by Spring.”

Could easily be done if they are referring to Pounds Sterling which would be $90.33 USD

The faster you lose weight, the quicker you put it back on.

If you need an appetite suppressant get some thc/cbs combo

Yes, you understood both parts correctly. The article said 400 twice a day, total 800 a day. Dr. said 400 total per day, which I tried. It wasn’t enough for my particular knees; 800 worked just fine.

@Jackie_Cochran and @ShenanAnna Thank you both for the herbal recommends and the dosage numbers. Hoping both ginger and primrose will be helpful!
