Wither relief pad

considering this

other options folks like?

For a high withered horse, I like any pad that has the velcro straps that attach to the saddle d’s instead of the billets, unless you also want to attach a breastplate to the Ds. I find the LeMieux comes too forward and in front of the flap for my saddle. Stockholm makes a nice wither relief pad, but if you have a more forward flap, the Stockholm might not come far enough forward under the flap.

I think WeatherBeeta has a similarly shaped pad, though I have no experience with them.

I like any pad with a contoured spine (though mine aren’t quite as dramatically curved as this, but still leave plenty of room for the withers on most horses), and have used Roma, PRI, Wilker’s, etc. for years and loved them. I have a Waldhausen that is nice quality as well.

I have several of the Weatherbeeta Prime jump saddle pads. Great quality, with plenty of wither relief and they attach to the D-rings. The price is very affordable too.
