Just bumping up to say that the Fuller Fillies Sparkle Huggy half chaps are on sale right now for $55 (originally $78) at Smartpak. [/QUOTE]

No longer offered through Smartpak. I did pick up a wonderful pair of leather half-chaps for $70 (includes shipping) from the UK through 16 Plus Rider

Well I’m bummed about the Tally Ho breeches. :frowning:

They are really nice looking but WAY too long for me. I have short legs and am short waisted. The waistband almost comes up to my boobs and my feet don’t even stick out the bottoms. (for reference I am 5’5")

If anyone wants a navy pair in size 40 I will be glad to send them to you for the cost of the shipping!

Haffy was first so she gets the breeches. Enjoy!

FANTASTIC Customer Service and Product

I treated myself to Fuller Fillies Checkmate Breeches in Autumn Red and Chocolate Brown Fuller Fillies Leather Huggy half-chaps (for Fall riding.)

Instead of going through Smartpak, I went through 16 Plus Rider (based out of the UK:)

http://www.16plusrider.co.uk

If I had gone through Smartpak (this was before they had tacked on “price match guarantee” on their products) I would have spent $224.90 including shipping.

Instead, I went through 16 Plus Rider (it took 2 weeks for the products to arrive,) and I only spent $125.00 (including shipping to the U.S.!)

Customer Service was GREAT! I didn’t read the FAQs until after ordering, and they require signature upon delivery. I quickly e-mailed them, and they changed the address with no problems to my work address. I received a separate receipt in the mail, and two days later, my breeches and half-chaps arrived.

So…I saved…$99.90 (and I now see that some of the Fuller Fillies items are on backorder through SmartPak.)

While I have not purchased from SmartPak before, my half-chaps arrived individually wrapped in tissue paper in a large resealable plastic bag with “Fuller Fillies” on it as did my breeches.

Sorry I haven’t trawled through 100+ pages to see if this has been asked and answered before.

The weather has finally decided to turn summer like and we have (hopefully) a few short weeks of heat, but what do I ride in?? This is my first real summer-riding Englsih and I’m baking in my breeches, any cool, cheap large options for summer riding??

I have the lakeshire breeches from Horse, Riders, etc.
They are lighter than any breeches I have previously owned.

I ONLY ride in Tropical Riders, here in Arizona…

Who does the best breeches in puke green? Yes, riding in some hunter classes …

I like Ariats the best. Another option is Custom Riding Apparel ones through smartpak. I believe they stock the plain beige ones in a lot of sizes.

You don’t have to get the puke color… beige is fine.

Forgot about the Smart Pak ones, thanks! Love the choices.

Hate beige/tan breeches. Hate hate. Hate hate hate. It’s just some rinky little shows, but breeches on my fat backside must be puke or darker - which is why I will also Rock The Retro in rust! Woooooot!

WHITE is required for jumper classes here at the bigger shows, that is, and light beige/tan for hunter classes are a must at all shows (tweed coats are preferred, horrors and heat!!)… I loved my old greenish beige breeches, but can’t find any that, uhm, fit me anymore… in sticky full seat (although, I would prefer sticky knees and thighs, not seat)

Would LOVE to get some rust, but I think show people here might have a heart attack… I do MUCH prefer dark - especially with my thunder thighs…

Oh well, I am mostly going to small (tiny) jumper shows where anything goes as long as you have proper footwear and a helmet.

Although, I do have Dublin coming up and have to decide if I am going to try to get into my Vogels (the brown ones look a little bigger) or just bite the bullet with the black Eyetalian half chaps that do fit. The only real beige breeches I have are a leetle (uh…) tight, but I am thinking of getting a seamstress to take of the full seat and replace it with some stickey full seat and another inch or so…

And if the US East Coast heat comes here during Dublin, I will NOT, absolutely NOT wear TWEED!!!

I have the Fuller Fillies coat in bright brown with a screaming pink windowpane check and pink lining. Usually just wear it as a blazer, but it would look fab with the puke that’s not so greenish.

RJ Classics solid navy on its way. That should be easy with everything.

Weatherford, I got the most divine brown boots, I will send you a pic. To die for, and cost almost nothing in comparison to most. But what shoe size are you? And what calf? A gal I know at the barn has two pair of black dress boots with a fuller calf - when are you next in the US? Shipping to Eire would cost about as much as the boots.

Coreene, I forget what they are called, but Dover has it’s own version of the Custom breeches which have a lot of sizes available and they have… RUST. I love rust, too.

Oh… and what brown boots did you get?

I love you!

And how about the brown ones are Hispar field boots? Huge improvement over the Hispars from a few years ago. The same shade of brown as the new Petries. Loooooooooooove them.

Coreene - still DYING for pics of your brown boots. Also, how is the ankle design? I had purchased Hispars a couple years ago and even though the calf was the perfect measurement (maybe a little big) I couldnt get them zipped over my fat ankles!

I am SO looking into the brown hispars… especially if the design is better than a few years ago. I have a chestnut leopard appy and the rust breeches match his spots perfect, and I think it would just look smashing to have brown boots and helmet to go with them.

Whoops, I forgot, will take photos tomorrow. They are not the russet brown of Ye Olde Brown Boots, the are the color of the new Petries (the ones with white stitching). The ankle is fine; I have an instep which rules out most dress boots and these field boots are no problem.
