Womanly-sized riders, unite!

I like the ff breeches. The boots i have a few things i would change but considering my other options are over $500, and not in my budget. Sue if you would like to pm me i can send suggestions

My Hispar boots were $240 inc shipping and I was very impressed with the quality for the price. The quality has vastly improved.

Confused. What is this about?
When I posted (politely  ) on the FF FB page in response to them wanting to know what people want, I got a pretty snarky reply from them, so I invited tehm over here to see what the average consumer in North America would like in plus sized riding clothes.
Coreene and VCT, thanks…I thought maybe I was being too think-skinned - just catching up and read this.

Ah I see. Unfortunate!

I really want a pair of the Hispar boots but with Rex still having at least another 2-3 months to heal from the broken splint, I dont see any reason to buy them right now. Honestly, Im trying to sell some of my stuff! LOL

Krazy, I feel your pain sister. Oliver’s maybe ready to go back to work with early November shoeing, but realistically it will be more like mid-December. You know, So Cal rainy season. Slowly putting him back on the longe and then under saddle will take twice as long because of it, and I am not jumping straight on when he will have been hand-walked only since early May.

If anyone is a 20, here’s a screaming price on a hunt coat. Needs new buttons.

Clueless on the brand, never heard of it.

Coreene - which breeches did you end up buying?

I’m having a hard time finding anything I like (other than the On Course side zip ones.)

I got the puke On Course side zip. Seems like the fabric is a better quality than the other colors.

Am getting some of the Custom Riding Apparel ones in rust from Dover later this year too. The olive coat doesn’t work with puke, so that will have to go with rust. And then, just to go wild, I do it with BROWN boots and a BROWN helmet! Rockin’ the retro!

Coreene, dahling, I think Aunt Esther would recommend appropriate accessories for your habille and then you be stylin’, girl! :D:lol:
Dee

Dahling, Aunt Esther sees some of her dearest friends approaching the mid-century mark and suggested to them that they go wild and go retro - I have the dear lady’s approval.

Coreene, that outfit sounds DIVINE!!
I just went to a show last month, and rocked British tan Dehner’s, and a light olive coat… I chickened out on my Ralph Lauren helmet, it’s covered in light tan RL fabric~ and yes it’s a certified helmet! but I think I shall be very fashion forward and go retro with the brown boots agian. The judge approached me later, and said she loved them, and wished more people would wear BROWN!

shameless plug here too…selling my BIIIG calf dressage boots on ebay. Also to keep this legal, someone else has 2 or 3 field boots for us gals who’s “calves” are actually COWS.

Here are the brown boots.

KrazyTB, I never use the zips, I use boot pulls. Much, much easier.
these are just GORGEOUS!!!
Cmon girls, let’s bring BROWN AND RUST back in the ring!!!

Yeah, have the brown CO bookmarked on eBay so that the helmet matches the boots. My gosh, it’s only September 1 and I am already crossing fingers that my pony will be back in work and fit by late April for shows.

Ya know, that photo you sent really is just such a complete package - you even match your horse!

Thank you! I really LOVE that picture. My daughter took it, and it’s right here next to my desk. I like to look at it to remind me that I have come a long way to get back in the ring.

April is not too far off. Oliver will be awesome!!

Shoulod we bring back Newmarket boots too??? wish the canvas was a little darker, though.

Just got this in my FB updates…

Yesterday I saw some teaser pics…looks like a lot of hot pink and lime green (I admit I have a liking for those colours, but would not dress head to foot in them - I have jackets  ), but I don’t know how far they are going with that and having added bling to stuff…will be interesting, to say the least. I wonder how it will fly in a North American market when we asked for more modern stuff and were seeming to be turned down flat. I really hope that what they come out with is nice!
Dee

Never, ever gonna fly here.

That`s kind of where I’m heading.
I was just browsing the Irideon catalog…nice, classy looking stuff there.
There is a lot of FF stuff I like, but I think a lot of the fabrics don’t reflect a North American market - it can go from roasting hot and humid to subarctic - and that is just here in ON! Still need my boots!
Dee

Meh. I do not want ‘bejewelled’ anything. I don’t want ridiculous colors either.

BTW ladies, I found these country style boots… I called BoB and the calf is 17 7/8 inches IIRC… or maybe 17 15/16ths… anyways it was very nearly 18 inches.

http://www.bitofbritain.com/Oak_Ladies_Waterproof_Country_Boots_p/3455.htm

I have ordered them, since I returned my second pair of FF country boots because the soles had “popped” and were ‘whooshing’ with every step. Thankfully SmartPak gave me a full refund. I would have bought different boots from SP if they had anything else that would have fit.

Thankfully I have all necessary show clothes and tall boots, etc and Ariat 36 breeches fit me, so I now have no need to try anything FF again.
