The FF half chaps are really very nice. I got a pair of the huggy ones with the rhinestones on the side for $8 on closeout at SmartPak and I would buy another pair (minus the bling) at regular price. They are a nice soft leather. I have a pair of old Ariats and the FF are a nicer leather and not as stiff. The little girls at my barn are rather envious of the rhinestones.

I ordered a pair of FF boots in one size too big - I couldn’t resist the price and hope they will work. I’ll still keep my eyes out for sale FF field boots in my correct size!

Haha Ellebeaux - HOW did you know it was me that got the last 10 short wide?!? I wear a 9-9.5 standard wide so I thought I’d give these 10’s a try for the price. If they absolutely won’t work - I’ll let you know! I only wear them a few times/year which is why I thought I could get by with the bigger size.
Meanwhile I’ll add that if anyone scored the last FF field boot 9 standard wide - let ME know! 
Just got a pair of 2X Irideon Windpro breeches, full seat for $109 from Adams Horse Supply. I already have one pair, but I like them a lot. They aren’t as stretchy as the Cadence is, although the waist stretches a lot. They are stretchy enough that the knees don’t bag and they fit well, and they are nice and warm.
They have lots of other stuff on closeout. Unfortunately I don’t have much money to spend.
Thanks for the tip, walktrot! Got some XLs as I lost weight and my 2Xs are now too big, bunch up and cause terrible rubs on the tender skin right at the crook of my knee. Also got some of those Futis to turn my tall boots into winter boots.
A few weeks ago, I bought some Kerrits Sit Tight and Warms which are super comfy but for some reason I can’t sit the trot in them as well as the Irideons.
I’m in Canada so I need two pairs of winter tights to get me through the winter.
I tried to get that pair of boots too (the 10s), and ordered them on Feb 11. I got an email telling me the box had only one boot in it on the 12th, and did I want the rest of my order. I replied yes. Get another email on the 17th telling me they were out of stock on the boots, did I want the rest of my order? I reply, again, yes. Order finally ships on the 17th, but I have yet to see my paypal refund (I paid with paypal immediately when I rodered).
I am really not happy right now. I ordered from them because they got some glowing reviews on here, but I am not thrilled that over a week later I am still not seeing my refund.
ETA: I also sent an email on the 17th asking if my refund would be done through paypal as I want to order boots elsewhere, and got a yes reply but again, no refund.
My refund took a week to show up. Paypal may take longer. Have a bit of patience with them - those things are controlled by the bank not by the store.
Besides, if she’s closing down her business and starting a new job, things are probably pretty crazy right now!

For anyone looking for the plus sized Horka breeches I have found someone willing to sell to US customers. I just haven’t been able to find a retailer in the US that sells them.
The cost of shipping is a bit more than domestic and you have to consider the exchange rate when buying, but IMO the quality is so much nicer than the other plus sized brands it’s worth the cost.
I just got two pair and it took about 3 weeks to get them. Not bad for standard overseas post.

Alright, all you ladies that are close to Smartpak in Boston, there are a TON of Fuller Fillies Boots there (probably about 30-40 pairs as of yesterday). I just went and got these for $17 and I got these for $75, and these for $30. They have a wide variety of sizes and styles. I bought nearly all of the 10 and 11 ones though. There were quite a few other sizes though,
I just called and they have 0 pairs of anything in my size. I’m just not meant to have sale priced FF that fit…

I was wondering what everyone is wearing for half chaps these days (besides fuller fillies). I have always liked the prochaps but they are just wearing too quickly so I dont really want to spend the money on them again. I prefer something leather. What are everyones favorites? I love the look of the tredsteps, but of course they dont run large enough.

I have 19 inch-ish calves. My half chaps are xl Perris in brown suede. Perris do have leather half chaps for larger calves also. I’ve never tried them though. I’ll be buying either them or Fuller Fillies this year at some point since I want to do a few shows at last. But anyways, I don’t have any complaints with my half chaps. I’d recommend them others and I’d buy them again. They have up to size 3x for anyone who is looking (fits up to at least 22 inches I believe).
SmartPak’s own label breeches are DIVINE!!! I tested them last fall, before I dislocated my knee. SUPER, LOVE THEM!
