I appreciate that… it’s nice to hear once in a while! have fun shopping.

More on Fuller Fillies:

My friend at English Habit is trying to get this line. She’s trying to figure out ways of doing it - Fuller Fillies requires a set $$ amount pre-order from retailers. So, to see if there’s enough interest out there for English Habit to start carrying them, we’d like to hear from you. Please check out:

http://www.fuller-fillies.co.uk/

jot down the numbers of the items you would be interested in, and either pm me or send your list to:

customerservice@englishhabit.com

If you pre-order, you’d get a discount (at least 15% off MSRP).

Let me know if you have questions or comments!

Is your friend in a position where she could put pressure on Fuller Fillies to redesign some stuff?

Seriously: if they could make TS-type breeches in larger sizes (and in canary and rust as well as puke green and light tan, for the fox hunting clique), your friend could CLEAN UP, I should think!

I would SO buy the canary and RUST TS types… I only wear sidezips, and can’t wear the TS’s, and am TIRED of puke green, and boring beige!!

I thought Neddy’s was going somewhere when they made colored sidezips,( I have black, burgundy, navy and the very pretty pale yellow… but they are way too small now ) but it seems she doesn’t do them in colors anymore, and definitely not bigger sizes.

I never really liked the Neddys rust ones though. Those Lakeshires were totally the way to go if TS didn’t work. I just should never, ever, EVER have started using mine for mucking around at the barn… They’re so comfy I kept doing it and of course spilled peroxide on them, so they’re now like, Leopard App Rust or something along those lines!

The Collection sells a TS style show breech (in the puke green) up to size 40. They are REALLY NICE and I like mine a lot. They are 4-way stretch.

Not yet - she’s just trying to find a way to carry them at this point.

I spoke with a Canadian retailer of the Fuller Fillies line recently (when I saw their jackets in person & tried them on), but haven’t had any direct interaction with the company owners. It seems they were responsive when my friend emailed them, so perhaps they would be interested in knowing what would be popular in the U.S. market.

I’ll pass your comments on to my friend for sure.

Also, as I said above, we’d love to hear from folks what they would be interested in. As I said in an earlier post, when I saw the Fuller Fillies jacket in person I was very impressed with it’s quality, but also I was REALLY impressed with the fit and tailoring - it was very flattering (and it’s nice to find flattering equestrian gear in larger sizes)

I see Irideon is offering its plus-size Cadence stretch cords in a wider range of colours…

image issues

Being a womanly sized rider and in her late 40’s, I need some advice on overcoming self-consciousness issues with my “thunder thighs”. I didn’t show at all this year because of feeling like a whale on my slim-athletic OTTB.

I wish! If you download the catalog, you will see that the plus sizes are limited to black, white, indigo, evergreen, and willow, pg 13 of the catalog.

Choose a longer coat that hides a bit of the top of your thigh and a spanish top boot to make your leg look longer. I like the Irideon Cadence breeches as they are micro-rib, which is a slimming effect and smooths out any “dimples” ;). If you’re riding Dressage, just go a head and use the Willow color. White just stands out too much and the willow is a light enough biege to be quite acceptable.

A larger/wider flap on your saddle also gives the illusion of a smaller leg :D.

I tried to put them into my shopping cart, and it worked. (Ended up getting the black, just for slimming reasons).

I agree with everything! And woud like to remind you that capri-length Spanx are your friends, as they also reduce jiggleage.

OK, you’re right, it is the windpro f/s breeches that come in a few unexpected colours in plus size.

Can someone give me the rundown on Nittany vs. Mountain Horse? I tried searching the thread, but my eyes are crossing. I have hispars and they suck my will to live. I have size 10.5-11 feet and 17.5 calves. I’m riding in the half chap combo right now but really would like to have some nice field boots.

Thanks!

I have a pair of Nittany field boots and they are actually fairly nice looking. I would never deal with the seller again, however. They also have (or had when I was dealing with them) two plants manufacturing the boots, and an 11 in one was very different than an 11 in the other (I’m a 10.5-11 to but wet up for extra socks or innersoles for hunting). One is a roomy, true 11 and the other is a flimsy craptastic one. As a 17.5 I think the Mtn. Horse will be your better choice–better made, comfier, easier to try/buy/return. If you have a place where you can try them on in person (rather than mail order) I’d suggest you do that, as I’ve found their size charts, particularly in the 11s is often inaccurate.

I have a 10 coming in next week! It’s got a 19 inch height, and 19 inch calf. I can let you know![/QUOTE]

Twinkltoz, they are here. I am putting them on ebay. I just got them in!

Woot! I guess I’d better measure myself again, now that I’ve lost some weight…

Took the words right away from my finger tips.

I am going to buy stock in this company, they are simply wonderful!
