Article in my Washington Post feed this morning about the Taliban beginning to place rules and restrictions on men. Mandatory fist length beards, a prohibition on “looking western” (no jeans or short haircuts), men can’t look at women other than family members, and taxi drivers are getting arrested for having unaccompanied women in their vehicles or playing music.
An interviewee said “we should have spoken up sooner”. Take notes, American men. As restrictions are placed on women, so can they be placed on you.

What I find so disturbing about this issue is how many WOMEN support anti - women policies. The fact that those women don’t understand that over turning Roe v Wade was not about being pro life. It was about controlling women and stripping them of their rights . Women are now dying because they can’t get the medical procedure that would save them. Being pro choice is not being pro abortion is it the idea that you do what is right for you and I do what is right for me and we all mind our own business.

Before birth control was a right
women needed a male cosigner for many types of credit because if she couldn’t control if she got pregnant she could be fired and then she might not have a way to pay it off.
Women often had no choice but to stay with an abusive partner especially if they had children because she had limited employment possibilities. And pre no fault divorce it was hard to get a divorce.

At this point, I suspect they think “it” won’t happen to them, or if it does, they are special.
Anyone who thinks that taking healthcare backwards is a good thing would be behooved to consider any pre-existing conditions they or any loved ones have. Women in particular.

Her story has been used as an example of what these draconian laws can do to women. Here’s the deal: people need to quit voting for politicians who pass these anti-abortion laws. Voters have the power and if they don’t use it they are the problem.

Sorry, don’t believe a word she says. She’s an opportunist and wouldn’t be surprised to learn she was paid to write and speak about supporting abortion rights to help Trump and the Republicans out of their quagmire of stripping woman of their right to control their body and health. She thinks Trump is a good family man. Talk about the Twilight Zone reality she lives in.
