Anybody know if wonder dust is safe to use on dogs?
My daughters dog has a small oozy wound on his neck and I think needs something to dry it up. I’ve had good luck with wounds like this on a horse but thought I’d see if anyone knew for sure the dust was okay to use on doggies.
Probably not the best idea if its infected - it will dry up the outside, but not actually treat the infection. A lot of vets will flush with a chlorhexidine solution and put dog on antibiotics for 7 days. Just want to make sure you dont enclose an infection, sometimes they are best to leave open.
Thanks for the reply. I don’t see any infection. The place is small and seems to have the normal “wetness” of a very recent wound.
Just wondered if the wonder dust was safe for dogs. I’ve used it on me and on horses but if it wasn’t okay on dogs I’d have to leave the state never to be heard from again if I put it on this guy.
