Not to hijack this thread, but could you post your recipe for the bananas w rum caramel sauce? Yum!!!
IMHO, itās even better to make Bananaās Foster, which adds ice cream to the mix- extra YUMMY!!!

It is all your fault, I had to have carrot cakeā¦so I stopped at the yummy bakery and got a slice, not the whole cake, sadly. Well for the size of my butt (which my breeches have to fit over) itās not sad. So then I finally get a minute and all yāall are talking bananas foster, hijack away:yes:
How is your horse? Still improving?
He is acting totally normal. Back to being my pocket pony, demanding rubs and pets and following us around like a dog. Bloodwork came back today that I took yesterday am and that looks normal, no low platelets. We never are going to know what happened I think, but it seems that a Rattlesnake bite is the leading idea. I have been over him with a fine tooth comb and nothing out of the ordinary. So now I guess we need to go snake hunting and hope this never happens again!
So glad to hear this. I wonder if the bite could have been inside the mouthðŸĖ³.
You know that is a good thought! Did not look in there, just around the outside of his lips, but his muzzle was swollen.
I know of one who had a spider bite on his tongue. Itās been some time ago (and Iād forgotten about it) but if I remember correctly, he was a very sick pony and it took forever for someone to look at his tongueā¦it simply wasnāt something anyone had seen before. I think his tongue turned black and that was the key.
Well, I looked in his mouth and did not see anything unusual, but that was 10 days ago now, so it could have normalized. Still hard to do a thorough inspection when he is giraffe tall and with no speculum.
What an ordeal for both of you. Iām so glad heās recovered.
Thatās terrific news! Nothing like having The Most Perfect of Perfect Horses in your pocket where he belongs. There is no better place!
