I am on the look out for a nice Wool Tweed Hacking Jacket and wonder if anyone has a favorite site…The UK sites seem to have affordable selections…any other suggestions…To wear Cubbing this fall…
I found mine on ebay- was a Man’s but fits ok. Good luck!
I also found mine on eBay. It’s a Shires, which I like for the tapered waist. And it was half the price of the same jacket at Middleburg Tack Exchange. But the problem with sites like eBay is that you only find bargains when you don’t need them
Try the RHPC Outgrown Shop. They have a fair amount of hunting jackets - you’ll get a good deal but the sizes available depend on who did the donating. It’s worth a shot.
Most of the consignment shops do not put their stock online so you have to visit to see it. ebay is probably your best bet
I found a brand spanking new one (in my size) at the Edgewood thrift store. One of the ones from the shop (English Country Classics)that sets up at all the big 3days and hunt meets. Still had the $795 price tag on it. I paid $7. I Felt like I hit the lottery.
Lily04 you did win the lottery with that bargain!
Rick’s had really nice ones at their tent sale. They may still have some in their closeout room.
The Farmhouse Tack Shop has them for $100 right now. But theirs might be show coats and not hunting styled.
Maryland Saddlery consignment in Hockessin Has loads of stuff at great prices.

Let me know how the length runs. I like the green herringbone color they offer but I need things long.

I am 5’7" and ordered a size 34". The arm is 24" from the top of the shoulder seam to the bottom edge which fits me fine. I tend to be a bit long armed and this fit perfect.
Jacket came…nice quality arms very long…ordered a size bigger than needed still bit snug in biceps going to see if enough fabric to let out a hair.
Hey, thanks for the tip on the Styalways Ebay shop! I ordered the Shires Beige/Green tweed on Tuesday night and it arrived from England to Texas on Saturday! Lovely coat. I’m happy to upgrade to this jacket from my mens thrift shop 2-button to 3 button blazer-conversion coat. Bring on Cubbing Season!
