Our friend, Kelly, on JB’s board gave us this earlier today:
"Before I read my bible I always pray that God will give me something to set my mind at ease, or something to put my day in perspective. What I read last night blew my mind, because I think it really pertained to the situation yesterday. I was so scared all day of more attacks and starting a war. These are the two passages God found for me.
Psalm 25:16 Turn to me and be gracious to me, for I am lonely and afflicted. The troubles of my heart have multiplied; free me from my anguish. Look upon my affliction and distress, and take away all my sins. See how my enemies have increased and how fiercely they hate me! Guard my life and rescue me; let me not be put to shame, for I take refuge in you. May integrity and uprightness protect me, because my hope is in you.
Psalm 27:13 I am still confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord, be strong and take heart, and wait for the Lord.
These verses put my mind at rest, and I was so much more relaxed after I read them. I think everything will be okay in the end. I’m going out to put my ribbons on my car.
