World Cup Final

The first-round winner is up on YouTube. Lillie Keenaan & Katie Dinan are well in the hunt. The Dutch reporter said it’s hard to believe Ben Maher can ride when you watch him limp away after dismounting. He’s in second!

That horse has such scope. Wow.

I would not be sad if he won the whole thing. He’s produced so many great horses that get sold just before the big championships. They sure stuffed a lot of jumps in that ring!

Right? Lots of zigs and zags in there.

Lillie’s round was beautiful. It’s easy to believe she was a multiple equitation champion. The commentators said Ben broke his foot last week, but I couldn’t tell which one.

How lovely to see Lillie’s placing amongst such powerhouses.

Katie as well!

Can I just add that I love the decorations in this ring? Saplings, greenery, tree blossoms. And it was great to see the Langmeier contingent getting advice from McLain along with Lillie Keenan in the photos that WoSJ put up. If Linda didn’t have so many darn babies she’d be in her red coat now.

I believe they mentioned on one of the recent livestreams that McLain has been helping McKayla for a while. As well as Lillie.

So even if he’s not showing there himself, he does not get the week off.

The owners of the late Jarnac, sire of Donatello d’Auge, will be quite comforted by how the week is going so far. He passed away last week at the age of 28. He was a hottie.

Looks like Alexandra withdrew Gipsy Love before the second jog due to soreness from an overreach and Imagine, the Cinderella horse for the Dutch team at the Olympics, got spun. So 28 will continue on Sunday.

Lillie is in 3rd going into Sunday!

Oh, that stinks.

Heartwarming story of riders supporting a first time World Cup rider.

Looks like she had 3 faults in the first round today so perhaps only time? Amazing. She will miss the top 20 that go on by a whisker.
