I am wondering if the US might try to get the World Cup to come back here in the future at the KHP. Seems like a better venue than Las Vegas.
Anyone heard any talk about that?
WC finals must be indoors. How many does the indoors at KHP hold? Because ticket sales ned to pay for at least part of it.
The WC should be held in DC where the Washington International is held, or NY at Madison. Vegas isn’t that much fun, plenty more to do in those other cities.
You bid for the World Cup. DC is not going to be a pull for Europeans the way Vegas is.

Seriously though, a big plus for Vegas, in my opinion, is the great selection of hotels at all price points within reasonable distance of the Thomas and Mack.
I hope it comes back to Vegas - we need one big event on the west coast!
Vegas has relatively cheap direct flights from just about everywhere in the USA and the rest of the world (for instance, our son is flying into LV from Sydney next week–direct return flight for less than $1K) and lots of beds at competitive prices, and a respectable public transit system, all of which make it an ideal spectator venue.
Personally, I loathe Vegas as a city, but it is a good place to go to for something like this.
Personally I LOVE Vegas for the WC. So much to do and so much fun. Plus it is easier to get non-horsey friends or spouses to go when you have it somewhere like Vegas instead of KY. And lots to do there for everyone when the competition isn’t going on, as well as lots of hotels like everyone mentioned. I have been to Vegas twice for it and thoroughly enjoyed it. When is the WC back in Vegas? Hopefully 2011 so I can go back, it’s been a while.
