As soon as I heard a horse had to be euth’d, I immediately thought, “probably a VII rider”. Yep, sure enough. :no:
That horse was obviously lame on her right front at the vet gate, and looked exhausted. How could they let her continue?
Edited: the video that was posted was actually a different (UAE?) rider’s horse. But it was lame and not sure how it got through.
I wish FEI would do away with endurance altogether. As much as I love the sport, I think its better suited for amateurs and recreation rather than racing. The risk is too great to the horse and any rider who is competitive and can hang on can win; riding sikill has nothing to do with it, actually the people who are the most competitive look to the the worst riders. Just disgraceful all the way around.
