Yea Sacc versus diamond V

Can someone explain what the difference between these two products are? My understanding from reading their websites is that they are both yeast with the culture medium used to the grow yeast. Is this correct?

And does anyone like one over the other? I did a board search but the threads were a little older.

Yea Sacc is a special strain developed by Alltech. It has had studies that prove efficacy for promoting more fiber fermenting micro organisms. We can’t be sure others strains work the same.

Diamond V does have a considerable body of research behind their work as well. Their yeast cultures are used in a lot of equine feeds and supplements. Some research available at http://www.diamondv.com/research/articles-abstracts/equine/.
