Yellow Creek Offspring

Does anyone where have Yellow Creek offspring?

If so, what are they doing?

Hi, So, it’s a year-old post, but I was just researching this stallion – there’s a good jumping mare at my barn going prelim that’s by him – sheer curiousity.

I’ve always liked him, he was a very nice horse, with a wonderful old fashioned TB pedigree, and seemed to consistently produce horses who could jump.
I liked him enough to breed two of his daughters to my stallion, A Fine Romance.

Here is his pedigree: http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/yellow+creek2

There is a 8 yr old mare at our barn. She has not done much, did not grow past 14.3 HH. She is an appendix and very accident prone, but otherwise a sweet mare! She considers my mare her surrogate mom as she was in my mare’s field at weaning. Six years later and at a different farm, she knew my mare instantly and stuck to her like glue.

Bred one mare to him, got a nice colt - tall, good mover, sweet temperament. His owner has done a few hunter shows with him and is now getting into dressage. I currently own another gelding by him, again tall, good mover, sweet temperament (think labrador retriever). I did a few schooling jumper shows with him and will hopefully have time to start eventing him this year. Both have been slow to mature but will be nice mid level horses in dressage and h/j/eventing.

I just purchased a young one by him. So far, so good. Good-tempered and sensible boy with good step and nice jump. Tall boy at 16.2 at almost 3 years. The stallion was put down recently, though.

Yellow Creek has been gone a few years ago now. He was very underutilized and under promoted (in my opinion). Lovely, stallion. Tall, elegant. Great jump. Best temperment ever which he passes along.

I believe Sandy still has some frozen semen but more than likely not available to the public.

He has had some youngsters do very well in the line classes at the Royal Winter Fair in Toronto as well. I would not hesitate to purchase one of his foals.

cherham,

How is Sandy doing? We were last at her farm about 2 yrs ago when a GF bought one of her camp ponies has her personal mount. Such nice people.

Sandy is doing well  She leased a mare from me last year to breed her future grand kids a pony <3
