You have traveled out of state (for me it was to VA) for a horse show (Upperville) to meet a bunch of people from the BB for the first time… and not only lived to tell the tale, but went back for more.
You get a higher percentage of email from fellow bbers than from work colleagues or other friends.
You have recruited at least two bbers to move to your barn.
You have slept in the same room with Moesha, slugger and VTRider.
And finally… you are brave enough to fly to Salt Lake City and be met at the airport by Colin, who you’ve never met before…

…You get harrassed almost daily by some crazy lady in Utah, just because she once saw you in your pajamas.
…You remember the good old days, when said crazy lady in Utah was banned from the BB! And you even remember the episode that got her evicted.
(well, not all of it, because I have no idea what some of the inside jokes are, having only been around for about a year)
… I just suggested on the COTH Caps thread that we all get coolers in the COTH buttercup color, with orangey brown trim, and embroider our user names on them.

You meet a friend of a real-life friend who also happens to be a friend of a fellow BBer…and you figure out the connection!
You’ve shown up at a public riding facility in a state you just moved to and had several people offer to let you ride their very nice horses around the XC course…
You hang out (during business hours, no less) with people you’ve met on the BB, and meet others who know ALL the same people as you (and can tell you stories about way-back-when, in return for your filling in the whatever-happened-to). (Begin theme song: “It’s a Small World…”)
You poll your horse while jumping him in draw reins without wearing a helmet – but know better than to talk about it here!! --Jess
Ah, the infamous BB stats… a short, but memorable, period in COTH history.
BTW, the “winners” are usually the same people now as they were then.
The relationship you are in was made possible via someone you met on the BB
