Has anyone been to Lion D’Angers for the Young Horse World Championships? Love to hear your experience!
Yes! I used to go there each Fall as a kid. It’s a beautiful course and you can (or at least you could) see a lot of the “behind the scenes” in the barns. I remember the riders were more approachable than at “bigger” shows (my, how I treasured my Mary King autograph…! :winkgrin:). When I got older, the shopping was quite good too with lots of vendors coming from the UK/Ireland in addition to the Continental ones.
There are quite a few nice hotels in Angers (20 minutes or so) and a campground just across from the main entrance.
I am so glad they’re having it again this year as they’d talked about canceling after last year’s flooding.
