Levis, hands down.
Tx. Which style?
Wrangler Auras, no question. Pretty much the only jeans I will ride in.

Rod’s Riding Jeans
(they run large so buy a size smaller)
I second the Wrangler Aura. A little bit of stretch for comfort, they come up higher in the back so you don’t have to worry about plumber’s crack but they’re a little lower in the front so you don’t feel like the waist is up around your boobs. You have your choice of three different rises and and a few different leg lengths so you can get what feels best for you. At least they did the last time I bought them, which was a few years ago - hopefully they haven’t changed around the fit. And they’re “vanity sized”, so you’re supposed to buy one size smaller than your normal size.
I haven’t tried the Wrangler Cash or Q-Baby yet, they’re supposedly designed specifically for comfort in the saddle.
Either old Levis or Tommy Hilfiger boyfriend jeans (the nonstretch). I cannot stand anything that stretches. I like straight up cotton jeans and I prefer them a little big.

Same here. The flat-felled inseams are MADE for riding. Rode a lot of miles in Levis, with no sore legs.
I like the wrangler q-baby’s. The darkest wash is the most comfortable to me, because it has the most stretch. I don’t understand why they did this, but each color has a different percentage of Lycra and a different fabric weight. I have the darkest wash which is most comfortable but the dark color makes them hot in the sun, and I have the medium color which tends to stretch out really quick. Within 30 minutes they are baggy like most jeans get after a day or 2. They’re also shorter than my dark pair even though the inseam is supposed to be the same. They’re okay to ride in though. It seems like the crotch is wider so you don’t get bunching up. I just wish all the colors were actually the same jeans. You have to try them all because they fit differently.
I ride in the Q-Baby jeans, too. I buy a size that’s a little too small, and by the time I’ve worn them 1/2 hour they fit great. Otherwise they’re too stretchy and look like clown pants at the end of the day. I buy the medium wash, forget the exact name, and the 38 inch inseam so I get the stack I like. Used to only wear the traditional Wranglers, but I prefer these now.
I like my Cruel Girls, both the traditional styles and the new prettier ones. Although my current favorite pair for riding are Rock 47s and for showing are Rock 'n Roll Cowgirls.
I love my Wranglers and happen to be wearing them right now at work. Unfortunately, without taking my pants off at work I cannot find out what kind of Wranglers I’m wearing… I’m pretty sure that would be frowned upon around here
I’ve got a pair of Wrangler Cash jeans for riding. I bought them because they’re 100% cotton (i.e. no stretch) and I was sick of my jeans stretching out.
Turns out I actually prefer to have a bit of stretch while riding, so next time I’ll buy the Q-Baby jeans (same fit, just with stretch).
For my “going out” jeans I love my Wrangler Rock 47. I was hesitant to try them on since they’re labeled “ultra low rise” jeans, as most of those don’t cover my a$$ crack. But ultra low rise to Wranger is very different than Rock N Roll or Cruel Girl!
WRANGLER Q-BABYS
They have stretch so they don’t feel like a straight jacket
The waist has elastic, so they feel fitted but not restrictive; this also prevents the gap in the back when in the saddle
The inside seam is flat = NO RUBBING!
These are the ONLY jeans I will ride in!
Equissentials has a stretch denim that I LOVE. You can add whatever amount of deerskin patch, etc that you want. You can even do fringe. The website is currently under revision, so no access right now. Bummer!
Thanks all !
Rode in Wrangler Aura jeans for years until they came out with Q-Baby…won’t ever look back, they are the most comfortable riding jeans ever! Mine haven’t ended up looking saggy at the end of the day. Looser yes, but not saggy nor baggy.
I love the amount of stretch, the waist band, that inside seam, and the colors offered. Can’t wait for Congress to pick up more on sale.
I love Wrangler Cash, I haven’t tried the Qbaby. My mom had both, and loved the Cash so much she bought 2 pair for me. I may have to try the Qbaby, seems like a lot of people like those.
Q-babys
I love the look of the Q-babies but am I the only one that finds them DREADFULLY HOT ???
