Your ride or die grooming products

Try a purple conditioner. The shampoos just rinse out but you can leave a little conditioner in without harm. Especially works if you wash and dry the tail then leave the purple conditioner on dry hair for half an hour.

Since Infusium 23 has gotten difficult to find (and $$$), I am using a 1/2 and 1/2 combo of that and Healthy Hair Care. I wasn’t sure I’d like it going from just straight Infusium but it’s working really well for my 3 boys.

Thanks for this rec. I have not heard of Equifuse, but just ordered some of the rinse and the shine and conditioning serum. Hopefully it will keep Miss Mare’s coat looking nice this summer since I’m hoping to get to some ā€œrealā€ shows and trying to up my grooming game!

Does anyone have a secret weapon for a fine, frizzy forelock? I’m leaning towards bonnets for showing to just hide it, but it’s a ridiculous pouf that does not befit a 17H chestnut mare.

Mr P has that ridiculous poof, too, and he will not wear a bonnet. We end up with a silly little braid made up largely of Quikbraid and rubber bands.

Save some of her mane from a pulling session and braid it into the forelock.

Have you tried to put sunblock on tails ? I’m ay my wits end trying to keep the tail living outside now

I don’t think I mentioned it in this thread yet, but I got a Posture Prep. It’s a keeper for sure. My horse loves it, and I like the idea that I’m possibly doing him some good beyond just getting dirt out of his coat. Great workout for me too!
